Terms and fair use
Trial service, version 2026-10-09.
- Trial service, estimates only. The platform is a research trial. Results are surrogate-model estimates of the offshore maximum water level. They are not a warning product and must not be used for warning, evacuation or any other operational or life-safety decision.
- Fair use. The service is shared by the research community. Per account the limits are 20 events per 24 hours, 2 running or queued at the same time and 200 per 30 days; the whole service accepts at most 3000 events per day. Automated or scripted bulk use that circumvents these limits is not allowed.
- Your access code is personal. You will not share it with others. Each person registers once. Colleagues should register with their own address.
- Your e-mail address. The address you give identifies your account. It is used only for verification and access-code recovery, never for marketing, and it is not given to third parties.
- Results are temporary. Result files may be deleted 30 days after a run. Download what you need.
- Usage is logged. The service records the information you give at registration, the network address of requests, and the events you submit, to operate the service and to protect it against misuse.
- Automatic protection. Registrations that look like duplicates, unusual traffic and repeated refused submissions are handled automatically: a registration may be put aside for review, and an account may be suspended without notice. Accounts that are not used for 180 days expire.
- No warranty. The service is provided as is, without guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for any purpose. Access may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
